"Teach Me to Love" Study Worksheet

Tools needed:

Concordance in the version of Bible language you will be using (Strong’s Exhaustive for King James Version and you must use an NIV Exhaustive Concordance for New International Version)

Vine’s Expository of New Testament Words (useful and recommended, but not necessary)

  Dictionary

  Book of Synonyms and Antonyms

1. Go to the Strong’s alphabetical listing for the word you want to study. Find the Scripture address for the use of that word and write down the number at the right of the scripture address (i.e. sober = #4994)

 2. Go to the back of the concordance and find the number you recorded for your word study and copy the definition. (Old Testament scripture will be in Hebrew and New Testament scriptures will be in Greek.)

 3. Look the word up in the Vine’s Expository Dictionary, if you have one.

 4. Look up the word in the dictionary, then in the synonyms and antonyms book. Looking up the Scripture reference in other versions of the Bible can be helpful as well.

 5. Add some practical life application actions, not more than three scriptures, a personal story, and a woman of the Bible that is similar or opposite, and you have a lesson prepared!
